Entry test for NWFP Engineering and Medical colleges

The entry test for admission to engineering and medical colleges of NWFP will be held in Peshawar and Abbottabad on August 9 and 16, respectively.
The decision was taken at the 19th meeting of Board of Governors of Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) held here on Tuesday. Presided over by Chief Minister Ameer Haidar Hoti, the meeting was attended by NWFP Minister for Higher Education Qazi Mohammad Asad, secretary for higher education, vice-chancellor, Engineering University Peshawar, chairman, Higher Education Regulatory Authority, principal, Gomal University, chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Malakand and officials of the health department.
Revised budget of ETEA for the year 2008-09 and budget estimates for the year 2009-10 were also approved during the meeting. It was decided that the Bannu Examination Centre would be cancelled and its candidates be allowed to appear for the test at the Peshawar centre. The entry test at Peshawar would be held at Karnel Sher Khan Shaheed Stadium and at Ayub Medical College in Abbottabad. Administrative Committees were also approved for Peshawar and Abbotabad centres, which would look after the matters related to the test.
